Employment Lawyer

This is a pivotal role in a crucial team at the heart of the Council. You will ensure that client areas are: supported; briefed on the ever-changing employment law landscape; and able to make well-informed decisions. You will be the first point of contact for employment law matters, managing a fast-paced and diverse workload with professionalism, discretion and confidence. The key responsibilities include:Comprehensive diary and inbox management, including scheduling and co-ordinating meetings• Supporting clients at every level across the Council with employment law related queries• Supporting clients with legal service legal agreements (including schools) with employment law related queries• Exceptional attention to detail• Drafting and reviewing employment agreements, policies, procedures and handbooks• Advising clients on redundancies, TUPE and day-to-day management queries• Providing training to client departments• Handling sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion• Support as necessary on major projects This role suits someone who is passionate about delivering excellent client care, committed to maintaining high standards, and confident working both independently and collaboratively to support a skilled and safe workforce.
