Job summary
Newhall Surgery is looking for a part-time (30 hours) dynamic and motivated Nursing Associate to join our friendly Nursing Team. (Start date November 2026). The successful candidate will have previous experience of working within Primary Care as a Nursing Associate preferably with a working knowledge and experience of NHS Health Checks, ECGs, blood pressures, phlebotomy, foot checks, urine analysis, spirometry, ear syringing, cervical cytology, wound care, general health and lifestyle advice, long term conditions, vaccinations, injections and immunisations.

Main duties of the job
This is a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave within our Nursing team which includes an Advanced Clinical Practitioner/Nurse Manager, a Practice Nurse, 2 Nursing Associates, a GP Assistant and a Health Care Assistant and is supported by our GP Partners, Management Team and other clinicians.

About us
Newhall Surgery has a list size of approximately 11,400 patients. We have an active Patient Participation Group and endeavour to liaise well within the local community. We are active on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and have good patient reviews.
Our clinical staff consists of 3 GP Partners, 1 Nurse Partner, 6 GPs, GP Registrars, Foundation Year 2 Doctors plus a dedicated Nursing Team, Pharmacy Team and 2 Patient Care Coordinators.
We also have committed administrative, secretarial and care navigation members, plus our dedicated and professional Management Team which consists of a Business Manager, Practice Manager, Patient Services Team Leader and two Management Assistants.
We are a friendly Practice who believe that communication, team working, well-being and learning are vital to the success of our organisation. We have two formal 'get togethers' per year with other socials to help support our internal communication processes and the feeling of 'family' within the organisation, plus monthly training events.
The Partners are very supportive of staff and place a high value on their well-being, learning and development.
