The Role
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our clinical team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. The position is for 3 full days per week with occasional, additional cover for annual leave or other requirements.
The successful candidate will work alongside our multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of nursing care and health promotion to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for a Practice Nurse seeking a rewarding role within a supportive and forward-thinking practice.
Experience using the SystmOne clinical system would be preferred.
Main Duties
The role will include, but is not limited to:
- Cytology screening
- Childhood and adult immunisations
- Wound care and dressings
- Health promotion and lifestyle advice
- Infection prevention and control activities
- Assist our other practice nurses in maintaining clean and well stocked clinical rooms
- Collaborate effectively with the practice team to ensure seamless patient care delivery
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient medical records
About You
We are seeking a registered nurse who:
- Holds current NMC registration
- Has experience working within a GP practice or primary care setting
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrates a caring, professional and patient-centred approach
