The Housekeeping Assistant role at Avery Healthcare involves supporting the care for residents through maintaining high standards of cleanliness and laundry within the home. Responsibilities include carrying out cleaning duties as per worksheet instructions, understanding the cleaning requirements for different surfaces, and ensuring residents are always treated with dignity and respect. The role requires experience in cleaning laundry in a public setting and knowledge of Health and Safety regulations including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments. Ideal candidates should possess the capability to adapt and cover various responsibilities when needed.

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
  • Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
  • Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
