6 month fixed term Salaried GP vacancy to work 4 sessions - flexible days
Starting in September 2026 until the end of March 2027.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient-centred Salaried General Practitioner to join our friendly, forward-thinking Leeds based practice. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, safe and effective primary care to our patient population while working collaboratively with colleagues across the practice and wider healthcare system.

Main duties of the job
Our surgery provides care to over 11,000 patients across 2 sites: Lofthouse Surgery and The Manse Surgery. We have 8 Doctors, 4 qualified Nurses and 3 Health Care Assistants, and we are looking for either a newly qualified or experienced GP to work in our busy practice.
Our practice is based in Leeds and is part of the Leeds Integrated Care Board (ICB). We are proud to be an active member of the LS25/26 Primary Care Network (PCN), with one of our GP Partners serving as the Clinical Director for the PCN. This provides excellent opportunities to contribute to service development, collaborative working and innovation across primary care.
Job description
The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
The successful applicant must be available to participate in 1-2 visits per day and one on call session per 2/3 weeks.
Duties include:
- Provide comprehensive, high-quality general medical services to registered patients.
- Undertake face-to-face and telephone consultations as appropriate.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in accordance with current clinical guidance.
- Prescribe safely and effectively within national and local prescribing policies.
- Make appropriate referrals to secondary care and community services.
- Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including nurses, healthcare assistants, clinical pharmacists, physiotherapists, social prescribers and care coordinators.
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records using SystmOne.
- Contribute to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults in accordance with local and national policies.
- Support health promotion, disease prevention and patient education.
- Participate in clinical meetings, significant event reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the achievement of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and other contractual requirements where appropriate.
- Maintain professional registration, appraisal and revalidation requirements.
