As a Meet & Greet Volunteer, you'll provide a friendly welcome, help patients find their way, and make a real difference to their experience. It's a rewarding opportunity to support your local community, meet new people, and gain valuable experience in a modern NHS healthcare setting.
Main duties of the job
As a Meet & Greet Volunteer, you will provide a warm and friendly welcome to patients, visitors and members of the public attending the Alhambra Outpatients Centre. You will help people find their way around the site, escort patients and visitors to the correct area for their appointments, and direct any enquiries to Reception when appropriate. You will also support patient flow across the site, helping departments ensure patients move smoothly through their appointments. Other duties include collecting wheelchairs from around the building, returning them to the main entrance, and cleaning them when required. All information received during your volunteering role must be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
