Job summary

Looking for a Role That Still Feels Like General Practice?

Polden Medical Practice is a thriving rural dispensing training practice in Somerset serving approximately 11,000 patients across two owned sites.

We are looking for a Salaried GP who values continuity and teamwork. We combine traditional continuity of care with modern systems that support safe, efficient and sustainable general practice, keeping patients at the heart of everything we do.

Situated close to Junction 23 of the M5, we're within easy commuting distance of Bristol and Taunton while offering the benefits of rural practice and a strong sense of community.

Main duties of the job

Sessions are flexible and can range from 4 to 8 sessions per week.

Clinical responsibilities include:

  • Routine, acute and complex consultations
  • Long-term condition management and preventative care
  • Home visits
  • Medicines optimisation and safe prescribing
  • Participation in same-day care and triage

Our multidisciplinary team creates a supportive environment where workload is shared appropriately, and clinicians can focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

We operate a modern digital access model supported by efficient administrative systems and a commitment to reducing unnecessary workload wherever possible.
