Nursing Associate or Health Care AssistantGP Practice

Horndean Surgery is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Nurse Associate or Health Care Assistant to complement their nursing team.

We are a friendly semi-rural practice based near Waterlooville, Hampshire and work out of  new purpose built premises. We look after a patient population of approx. 7500

Due to local development we expect to see our patient list grow by 50% over the next couple of years and so we are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Nurse Associate / HCA to join our surgery team at this exciting time. The post is for 20 – 25 hrs per week

An HCA NVQ3 qualification and phlebotomy experience is essential or if applying as a Nurse Associate a Registered Nursing Associate qualification with PIN. Experience of working in primary care is essential.

The role will include the following duties depending on level of experience and/or qualification

• Removal of sutures/stitches
• Dressings
• Injections
• ECGs
• BPs
• Diabetic foot checks
• NHS Health Checks
• Phlebotomy
• Imms and Vaccs as appropriate.
• Chronic Disease checks

Salary is dependant of experience. In additional you’ll get NHS pension contributions, sick pay policy, 6 weeks of annual leave.
