Summary

What you'll do:

We're looking for an experienced Head of Business Services to create exceptional workplace and customer environments that let our colleagues thrive and give our residents and customers the very best of NHG. Leading a team of around 15 colleagues, our Head of Business Services will oversee NHG's office estate of four offices and over 100 small satellite locations. You'll make sure our workplaces are safe, welcoming, inclusive and professionally run, with services that support collaboration, wellbeing, productivity and strong customer outcomes. This role goes far beyond traditional facilities management. As Head of Business Services, you'll shape offices that colleagues are proud to work in and that customers feel comfortable visiting, all while delivering value for money.

How you'll do it

Provide strategic and operational leadership across NHG's office estate, setting a clear vision and standards for workplace and customer experience, and using colleague and customer feedback, data and insight to keep improving

Lead the delivery of facilities management, workplace services, reception, maintenance, cleaning, security, disaster recovery and business continuity through colleagues and service providers, including emergency response and out-of-hours arrangements

Set and manage the Business Services budget, establish customer-focused service standards and KPIs, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and value for money

Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing Business Services team, building a culture of professionalism, accountability, warmth and responsiveness

Manage workplace, facilities and support service suppliers, making sure contracts have robust service standards and commercial controls, and working closely with Procurement and Finance

Lead office refurbishments, relocations and workplace improvement programmes that consider accessibility, safety, wellbeing, sustainability and customer experience, delivering them safely, on time and within budget

The ideal candidate

We believe great service starts with great people, and we are committed to recruiting and developing passionate, enthusiastic, and talented individuals who can add value to our thriving organisation.

As our Head of Business Services, you'll bring:

Essential:

Significant senior leadership experience in business services, workplace management, facilities management or a comparable multi-site operational environment, including leading services and people across a large, geographically dispersed estate

Excellent knowledge of facilities management, health and safety, compliance and operational risk, with an IOSH Managing Safely qualification

Strong financial management and budgeting skills, with demonstrable experience of robustly managing outsourced contracts, suppliers and commercial relationships

Desirable:

NEBOSH qualification

Professional qualification or membership in a relevant discipline, such as the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM)

What's in it for you?

Once you join us, you'll find plenty of opportunities to grow within our organisation. You'll also have access to a wide range of learning opportunities to help you achieve and maximise your potential.

Benefits include:
