Are you passionate about working with communities and driving positive change? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where teamwork, inclusion and respect are valued?

We are looking for a flexible, citizen-focused and highly collaborative individual to play a key role in delivering the Greater Leys Pride in Place Programme — an exciting opportunity to work alongside local communities and partners to make a real and lasting difference to the place people call home.

The ambition of the programme is to bring together residents, partners and local services to create a stronger, more connected and more confident Greater Leys, where communities have the influence, resources and opportunities to shape their future and take pride in where they live.

As the UK Government’s flagship communities programme, Pride in Place provides Greater Leys with the opportunity to benefit from up to £20 million of long-term investment over 10 years. At the heart of the programme is a community-led approach, with the Greater Leys Pride in Place Board playing a key role in shaping priorities and influencing how investment is used to deliver meaningful and lasting benefits for local people.

As the key link between the Council and the community-led Greater Leys Pride in Place Board, you will play a pivotal role in turning this ambition into action. Working on behalf of the Council as the accountable body, you will advise and support the Board, helping to ensure that relevant governance, funding and programme requirements are understood and met, while enabling the Board to lead and influence the programme effectively. Your role ensures community-led priorities are translated into deliverable projects with strong governance, evidence, and ongoing engagement

You will bring together people, organisations and areas of work, enabling joined-up working and collaboration across the Council, the Board and a wide range of public, private, voluntary, community and faith-sector partners. You will help identify opportunities for partnership working, facilitate effective collaboration and support the coordination of projects and activity around shared priorities and outcomes.

This is a dynamic, high-impact role combining project and programme management, community engagement, partnership working and strategic coordination. You will need proven experience of managing projects and programmes in a partnership environment, with the ability to build trusted relationships, navigate different perspectives and accountabilities, and keep people focused on achieving positive outcomes.

If you are passionate about working with communities, enjoy bringing people together and want to help turn local ambition into tangible, lasting change, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the future of Greater Leys.

For an informal discussion about the post please contact Roo Humpherson on 07889 178007 or email [email protected]
