In addition, the Health and Safety Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation and review of the College’s Health and Safety policies, procedures and strategy, promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance across all departments. Maintaining accurate compliance records, emergency plans, fire logs, system schematics and inspection schedules is an essential aspect of the role, alongside working with the Head of Works and departmental managers to implement improvement plans and measure effectiveness.

The successful applicant will have a recognised Health and Safety qualification, NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma and experience of managing health and safety and therefore it is an essential requirement that the postholder has a strong background in fire safety and health and safety legislation.
