We have a rare opportunity for a Legal Officer to join our Corporate Team.  The Corporate team consists of the Property team, the Planning & Highways team and the Contracts & Commercial team.  In this role you will predominantly support the work of the Property team who provide legal representation, advice and assistance to the Asset & Property Management and Housing departments within the council.  The Property team also supports the Council’s major projects teams.

Whilst the post holder will work primarily on Property law, there will also be opportunities to develop your skills with work across the Corporate team as a whole.

If you have a law degree, a CILEX qualification, you are a solicitor or barrister, or you are working towards any of these qualifications and you have experience or demonstrable commitment to legal work in one or more of the above areas we would be delighted to hear from you.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
