Housekeeper Band 2 - 75 hours available - Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team on Elm A/HASU, we are seeking to recruit a highly enthusiastic and motivated team player who will work within the team providing high quality service ensuring standards are maintained.

The department specialises in acute stroke care and stroke/neuro rehabilitation it is a 43 bedded area and consists of a 10 bedded hyper acute stroke unit, with 33 acute stroke /neuro rehabilitation beds. The Stroke Department is a friendly and caring environment providing care to the most critically / acutely ill patients. The aim of HASU is to provide holistic care for acute stroke patients, utilising a co-ordinated multidisciplinary approach, resulting in optimal patient outcomes. It is a fast paced, acute care environment; assessing, prioritising and caring for a multitude of patient and families, with specific acute care needs and long term conditions.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job includes:

Assist with meal rounds and serve patients meals/drinks

Assist with feeding patients and update relevant documentation

Order weekly stores and put away on delivery

Routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment

Reporting equipment/ environmental issues

Replenish ward supplies including linen

Maintain patient privacy and dignity

Work and Liaise with other professionals in team
