Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support ~Spring Term start

Part time temporary contract – 3 days per week, 8:45am-3:15pm, 16.5 hrs per week

Our School Federation is seeking to appoint a happy, reliable and suitably qualified Teaching Assistant to work with children with additional needs and support interventions that are personalised for the needs of our children and join our friendly team.

The position is a temporary contract linked to the funding of children with specific need.

If you can work in a team, support children in their social, emotional and academic development and have a passion for teaching and learning, then this may be the ideal opportunity for you.

The successful candidate will:

Have experience of supporting children within the primary age range/school setting;

Have experience/interest in working with children with specific and/or complex needs;

Have high expectations for our children’s progress and overall achievement;

Take an imaginative and creative approach to curriculum learning that captures the children’s interest;

Be flexible, forward thinking, innovative and highly energetic;

Have an understanding of how children learn, including social/emotional development;

Have a passion for quality teaching and learning, enabling the best outcomes for our children;

Be able to work well as part of our whole school team, school federation and the school community;

Be willing to undertake relevant training
