Main duties of the job

As a Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Leonard Lodge care home with Barchester Healthcare, you will support the General Manager in delivering quality care and will lead the team in their absence. You will have a Registered Nurse qualification with a current NMC registration and experience in handling different health needs. Your responsibilities include maintaining care standards, motivating and inspiring a multidisciplinary team, conducting audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role requires HR skills, knowledge of sales and marketing, budget management, and a mentoring qualification. Additionally, you will need to have managed safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.

ABOUT YOUTo join us as a Clinical Deputy Manager, you'll need be a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification. We'll also look for some HR experience, a strong knowledge of sales and marketing, an understanding of budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
