Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people?

Do you want to work in a supportive team where relationships, direct work and positive change are at the heart of everything we do?

This is a fixed-term opportunity within Conwy's Permanency and Pathways Team, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, committed Social Worker to join our Children, Families and Safeguarding Service. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced Social Workers who are ready to make a real difference to the lives of Children Looked After and Care Leavers.

The Permanency and Pathways Team works with children and young people who are looked after, care experienced and preparing for adulthood. Our focus is on securing safe, stable and lasting family arrangements, supporting reunification where appropriate, and helping young people achieve positive futures through effective pathway planning.

What we can offer you:
• A child-centred, strengths-based approach with the child's voice at the centre of planning.
• Manageable caseloads and supportive team management.
• Access to specialist support services, including an In-House Psychologist and Therapeutic and Family Intervention Service.
• Strong multi-agency partnerships, including close working with CAMHS and partner agencies.
• Flexible working arrangements, including a 9-day fortnight.
• Regular supervision, mentoring and professional support.
• Career development opportunities, including CPEL/Porth Agored pathways and specialist training.

About you, you will:
• Hold a recognised Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work, CQSW or DipSW).
• Be registered with Social Care Wales or eligible for registration.
• Have a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children, young people and families.
• Be able to build strong relationships and work effectively with partner agencies.
• Have knowledge of relevant social work legislation and safeguarding practice.
• Be able to travel regularly throughout the county as required.

If you are looking for a rewarding fixed-term role where you can make a lasting difference to children's lives while developing your own career, we would love to hear from you.
