Clinician in Small Animal CardiologyUniversity

Glasgow Full time
Posted 19 August 2026 Closing date 15 September 2026

The University of Glasgow’s School of Biodiversity, One Health and Veterinary Medicine is seeking to recruit a motivated clinician to join our Small Animal Cardiology team.

We welcome applications from candidates who hold an ECVIM/ACVIM (Cardiology) diploma or have completed an approved residency training programme. In addition to clinical activities, the post offers a significant element of ‘off clinics’ time for research and scholarship. The role will also involve the delivery of clinical teaching to undergraduates.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team within our award-winning state-of-the-art Small Animal Hospital. The hospital is based on the beautiful Garscube estate, 10 minutes’ drive from the vibrant “West End” of Glasgow and less than one hour from Loch Lomond. Our facilities include on-site 1.5T MRI, CT, C-arm fluoroscopy, a range of Olympus and KarlStorz endoscopes, a linear accelerator and radio-iodine unit. We have a dedicated well-equipped ICU and excellent in-house laboratory.  Our ‘One Hospital’ team ethos ensures exceptional clinical care can be delivered to our patients, and supports the continual professional development of our vets, nurses and support staff. The ability to work well with others in a collegial team atmosphere is essential.

Visit our website for further information on The University of Glasgow’s Small Animal Hospital, https://www.gla.ac.uk/schools/bohvm/sah/

The post is full-time (35 hours per week) and open-ended.

Informal enquiries should be directed to Dr Frane Ivasovic, [email protected]
