About the role
King's College London is seeking a strategic and data-driven Prospect Identification Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of sustainable philanthropic income across the university. Reporting to the Senior Prospect Research Manager, this role sits within the Prospect Development & Business Intelligence (PD&BI) team and will lead the development and delivery of an innovative prospect identification strategy that strengthens fundraising pipelines and creates new opportunities for major and principal gift fundraising.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. P&A has a hybrid working approach, with a minimum of 40% of time in the office. Typically, this equates to two days per week, but we’re very happy for colleagues to be in more frequently if they so wish.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
Experience in prospect research, prospect development or a similar pipeline development role.
Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering prospect identification activity that supports fundraising objectives.
Strong prospect research skills, including use of online resources, databases and external information sources.
Experience of using data, analysis and prospecting methodologies to identify fundraising opportunities.
Experience of using CRM systems and maintaining high-quality prospect data.
Experience of building productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and influencing priorities in support of organisational objectives.
Strong attention to detail and consistent, methodological approach; proactive and independent work ethic.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to distil complex information clearly for a range of audiences.
Desirable criteria
Experience of identifying and developing prospects for major or principal gift fundraising programmes.
Experience of using wealth screening tools and external prospect research resources.
Good understanding of relevant data protection policy (EU GDPR 2018 and UK Data Protection Act 2018)

£45,031 to £52,514 per annum, including London Weighting Allowance (Grade 6)
