About the Role

The Experiential Learning Officer will play a key role in enhancing the student experience through the development and coordination of real-world learning opportunities across the School. Working within the Strategic Development Team, the postholder will support the delivery of live projects, consultancy challenges, capstone activities, employer-led learning, competitions and other forms of experiential learning that enable students to apply their knowledge in practical settings.

The role will work closely with academic colleagues, students, employers and alumni to embed experiential learning opportunities within programmes and support the delivery of the School's Curriculum 2030 ambitions. The postholder will coordinate activity, manage stakeholder relationships, monitor participation and contribute to the continuous enhancement of student opportunities and graduate outcomes.

About You

You will be educated to degree level or possess equivalent professional experience and have experience of coordinating projects, programmes, events or student-focused initiatives. You will possess excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills and be able to work effectively with students, academic colleagues and external partners.

Experience of employability, student engagement or experiential learning activity would be advantageous, alongside an understanding of the value of employer-connected learning in developing student skills and career readiness. You will be proactive, collaborative and committed to delivering an excellent student experience.

About the School

Queen Mary Business School is made up of 5 departments, covering Accounting & Financial Management, Business & Society, Marketing, People & Organisations, and Business Analytics & Applied Economics. The School has approximately 3000 undergraduate students, 800 postgraduate taught students and 100 PhD students. The School is located within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which is comprised of five Schools that deliver the research and education activity of the Faculty.
