Anchor Mill Medical Practice is a large, well-established GP training practice in Paisley, caring for a diverse patient population. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Receptionist / Administration Assistant to join our welcoming team.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing a high standard of support.

 

Hours of Work

 

20 hours per week over 4 days:

 

Monday: 1.30pm – 6.00pm

Tuesday: 8.30am – 1.00pm

Thursday: 8.30am – 1.00pm

Friday: 1.30pm – 6.00pm

Salary

 

£26,658 – £28,947 per annum (pro rata)

 

Starting salary will be dependent on experience.

 

About the Role

 

As part of our front-line administration team, you will play an important role in ensuring patients receive a positive and efficient service. Duties include:

 

Welcoming and assisting patients at reception

Answering telephone enquiries professionally and courteously

Booking, amending and cancelling appointments

Processing prescriptions and incoming correspondence

Signposting patients to the most appropriate service

Liaising with hospitals and other healthcare providers

Supporting a wide range of administrative tasks across the practice

About You

 

We are looking for someone who:

 

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Is confident using IT systems and learning new software

Can remain calm and organised in a busy environment

Enjoys working as part of a team

Demonstrates professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information

Has previous experience in a customer service, reception or patient-facing role

 

Experience in a GP practice or healthcare setting would be advantageous, as would familiarity with Vision and Docman systems, but this is not essential as full training will be provided.
