Working to strict Department of Work and Pensions targets, you will ensure clients are supported to achieve outcomes. To ensure that participants are seen in a safe and conducive environment that meets their needs and the needs of the business.

To ensure that all required participant monitoring is undertaken and files, records and other paperwork is completed to a high standard as required by the Fidelity Model of the DWP under the 2 models of supported employment, which are:

Individual Placement Support (IPS) integrates employment support alongside primary and secondary health services, and other support services. This integration ideally occurs at a physical level, through co-location and other policies, where applicable. IPS has been successfully utilised by areas working with DWP to deliver the Individual Placement and Support in Primary Care (IPSPC) programme to support individuals with mild to moderate health and/or physical health conditions. Connect to Work will utilise and expand on the approach taken with IPSPC. Whilst Connect to Work will complement the existing IPS provision for people with severe mental illness (IPS-SMI) and IPS Alcohol and Drug Dependence (IPS-AD), these will remain separate IPS services.

Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) is (as required) a more in depth intervention than the form of IPS used for Connect to Work. SEQF is oriented most usually around supporting learning disabled and/or autistic adults as well as others with complex support needs where clinical integration is not needed or appropriate. In delivery terms, this may mean that a Participant will receive more contact and support from their Employment Practitioner.

Internally, as part of the wider Employability Programme, and also externally with partners to work to ensure a co-ordinated and strategic approach to developing effective and sustained working relationships with micro businesses, sole traders, SME’s, social enterprises, charities  and other employers to secure appropriate work placements and employment opportunities through a successful employer engagement approach and maintaining excellent and professional employer relations to ensure opportunities for participants are made and sustained.
