Looking for a varied electrical role in a unique working environment? Join Portsmouth International Port as an Electrical Fitter and help maintain the essential systems and equipment that support a thriving international port operation.

Your new role

To work within the Technical Services group (TSG) structure of the Portsmouth International Port (PIP) maintenance team, providing Electrical fitting, Repairs, Maintenance, Installation and Testing & Inspection skills on a range of works, Capital Projects and installations. This role reports to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager (M&FM).

Who is the person summary:

We're looking for a qualified Electrical Fitter with a recognised electrical apprenticeship, 18th Edition certification, and experience maintaining and fault-finding on 400v and 230v systems. You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance across Portsmouth International Port's diverse assets, including electrical installations, machinery, buildings, pumps, CCTV and operational equipment. Working both independently and as part of the on-call team, you'll need strong diagnostic skills, a commitment to health and safety, and the flexibility to work at height, in confined spaces, and outdoors in all weather conditions.
