Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to recruit an experienced clinical pharmacist, with previous experience in mental health and previous management/leadership or mentorship experience or qualities for a fixed term cover working across the Trust's Mental Health Rehabilitation Services and the forensic services.

The role demands an organised, flexible individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work on their own initiative as well as provide strong leadership and mentorship. There is no current requirement to work on-call, Bank Holidays or weekends. Due to the location of various units, an ability and willingness to travel around Trust locations is required and in turn there is opportunity to consider a base within the Bay locality that is suitable to the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job

The rehabilitation service includes senior oversight of Wesham Rehabilitation Centre, a 26 bedded male unit for people who have been in hospital and need some support to regain skills and confidence with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning and looking after their own health and wellbeing before discharge to community living. The role also requires providing support to Out of Area placements who host LSCFT rehabilitation patients, helping with expert medicines advice and collaborative working with the multidisciplinary team and supporting service users and carers as necessary.

The forensic service includes senior oversight of Guild Lodge, a 164 bedded medium secure, low secure and step down hospital for both men and women and also includes an Acquired Brain Injury service for men. The service also includes Forensic outpatient services.

Interviews for both roles will take place on the same day. Candidates wishing to be considered for both opportunities should submit an application for each post and clearly state within their Supporting Information that they have applied for both roles.
