Main duties of the job

Job DescriptionJob SummaryChadwell Heath Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive and forward-thinking multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will work as an autonomous practitioner, providing high-quality, patient-centred primary care services to our diverse practice population. The post holder will be responsible for delivering safe, effective and evidence-based clinical care while contributing to the ongoing development of the practice and supporting the wider healthcare team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to achieve a healthy work-life balance while working within a collaborative and innovative environment.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will:
- Provide comprehensive general medical services to registered patients.
- Undertake face-to-face, telephone and online consultations.
- Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe safely and cost-effectively in accordance with local and national guidelines.
- Manage long-term conditions and preventative healthcare programmes.
- Review, action and process clinical correspondence, pathology results, repeat prescriptions and other clinical administration in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS Web.
- Participate in duty doctor and triage sessions as required.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, care coordinators and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Support the delivery of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and other contractual requirements.
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and audit activities.
- Participate in practice meetings and significant event reviews.
- Support teaching, training and mentoring activities where appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with GMC guidance, appraisal and revalidation requirements.
- Adhere to practice policies, information governance requirements, safeguarding procedures and professional standards at all times.
