Job summary

Clinical Support Worker band 3, 36 hours Maternity Cover

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on Ward 1 at the West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven. Ward 1 is a surgical elective ward providing care for Orthopaedic, Gynaecology, Breast Care and General surgical patients. We also accept surgical and gynaecological emergency admissions from A&E, WOPD and SDEC. We provide post-operative rehabilitation for Orthopaedic Trauma and general Surgical patients from CIC. Medical outliers within the ward are well supported by experienced ACP' and in-house Medical Consultant.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will work in support of the registered nursing team in providing the fundamentals of care for our patients. You will be expected to undertake the Care Certificate to enhance your knowledge and the care that you provide.

The role requires staff to work days, nights and weekends.
