Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our busy and supportive team at Downton Surgery.
Working closely with the Practice nursing team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality care, supporting a wide range of clinical services and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. This is an excellent oppurtunity for an experienced HCA looking to develop their career within Primary care.
Main duties of the job
- Provide a high quality phlebotomy service
- Undertake NHS Health Checks and routine health assessments
- Record base line observations and ECG's
- Assist with wound care, infection prevention and control
- Process Laboratory samples and maintain accurate clinical records
- Chaperone patients during clinical examinations where required
- Maintain vaccine cold chai records and monitor clinical equipment
- Restock clinical rooms and maintain medical supplies
- Support health promotion initiatives and patient education
- Work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary primary care team
