Job summary

Could your expertise help someone live a more independent and fulfilling life? As a Social Worker in the Adult Learning Disabilities Team, you'll support adults with learning disabilities to live independently, make informed choices and achieve the best possible outcomes. Working across the Island, you'll carry out assessments, develop person-centred care plans and build strong relationships with individuals, families and partner agencies. You'll take the lead on complex cases, contribute to safeguarding work and collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to ensure people receive the right support at the right time. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.
