Job summary

Starting at Band 5, this newly created role offers a defined opportunity to develop and progress to Band 6. As a valued member of the Community Wellbeing Service, youll provide assessment, treatment, follow up and consultancy for service users, making a meaningful difference through every interaction.

Main duties of the job

Youll take an active role in delivering therapeutic interventions across a wide range of settings from peoples homes and workplaces to educational environments, GP surgeries, the Isle of Man Prison and other Manx Care venues. Working independently, youll plan, prioritise and manage a varied caseload that includes complex cases such as dual diagnosis, leading one-to-one sessions and therapeutic groups that support recovery and wellbeing across our communities. Be promoted to Band 6 within 2 years. The Band 5 Annex T posts are development posts where you will undergo a period of preceptorship with the aim of gaining the competencies required to fulfil a Band 6 position. During this period, you will be assessed and if you meet the competencies there will be an increase in your salary as you progress up to Band 6.

Accommodation may be available for the first 6 months in your role at a reduced rate for non-Island residents, subject to availability.

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.
