We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work alongside teachers and school staff to help learners thrive both academically and personally.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant Level 2, you will work under the direction of the class teacher and senior staff to provide high-quality support to learners within the classroom and wider school environment. You will play a key role in helping pupils access learning opportunities, develop confidence and independence, and reach their full potential. Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting learners' educational, social and emotional development.
  • Assisting pupils with additional learning needs to access the curriculum.
  • Promoting inclusion, wellbeing and positive behaviour.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and other professionals.
  • Supporting classroom activities and preparing learning resources.
  • Helping to create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment.

About You

We are looking for someone who:
  • Has experience of working with children or young people.
  • Is passionate about supporting learners to achieve success.
  • Has an understanding of additional learning needs and inclusive practice.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Has good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
  • Works well as part of a team and can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Is enthusiastic about continuous professional development and learning.
Relevant qualifications, EWC registration and experience working within an educational setting are desirable.
