Are you an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner looking for an opportunity to deliver high-quality, autonomous care in a fast-paced urgent care environment?

At OneMedical Group, we are looking for a confident and motivated Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team at Bracknell Urgent Care Centre. You will assess, diagnose, treat and discharge patients presenting with acute, undifferentiated and chronic health conditions, working across all age groups, including infants.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician who combines advanced clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning with a calm, patient-centred approach. Working within your professional scope of practice, you will make safe clinical decisions, prescribe appropriately and ensure patients are directed to the most suitable pathway.

You will work closely with colleagues across the multidisciplinary team, contribute to patient flow and support a strong culture of clinical governance, learning and continuous improvement.

Job description

As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will provide expert, autonomous care to patients presenting to urgent care, ensuring they receive timely, safe and effective assessment and treatment.

Your day-to-day will include:

Advanced Clinical Practice: Independently assessing, diagnosing, treating and discharging patients with acute, undifferentiated and complex presentations across all age groups.

Minor Illness and Injury: Using advanced consultation, physical assessment and diagnostic skills to manage patients presenting with minor illness and minor injury.

Clinical Decision Making: Recognising red flags, determining clinical urgency and making safe, evidence-based decisions within your professional boundaries and scope of practice.

Investigations and Treatment: Initiating and interpreting appropriate diagnostic investigations and developing effective treatment and management plans.

Independent Prescribing: Prescribing and reviewing medication safely and appropriately in line with legal, professional and organisational frameworks.

Patient Flow and Pathways: Supporting effective streaming and directing patients to the most appropriate care pathway to promote safe and efficient use of healthcare resources.

Clinical Leadership: Providing guidance, mentorship and support to nursing and allied health colleagues, helping to strengthen learning and professional development.

Quality and Governance: Contributing to clinical audit, service improvement, local guidelines and policies while maintaining high standards of confidentiality, information governance and patient safety.

What We Offer

Salary:Up to £60,000 annual FTE + unsociable hours (pro-rata for less than 40 hours)
