Main duties of the job

As a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD), you will ensure people with complex needs receive high-quality care, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting positive teamwork. The wards are busy, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, and a good amount of routine and variety. Your day-to-day will include providing high-quality, effective and compassionate nursing care to service users, responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, mentorship and support to team members, and observing, recording and reporting all service user changes while maintaining accurate records of care provided.

What you will be doing

Skills and knowledge you will have:

  • A relevant nursing qualification
  • NMC registration
  • Experience working with patients with EUPD or ASD
  • Strong team-working skills
  • A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach
  • A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
  • A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice

Where you will be working

Location: Barnet Lane, Elstree, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 3QU

Barnet Lane’s Complex Care and Recovery Service (CCRS) is a highly specialised, bespoke inpatient adult service designed to support individuals whose needs exceed the scope of traditional inpatient service models. The service specialises in treating patients who have experienced multiple or prolonged admissions, stalled discharge pathways, or who have been unable to progress within conventional care environments.
