Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHC) are seeking to recruit Bank Level 2 Housekeepers for flexible working opportunities via Temporary Staffing

The roles are based at Moseley Hall Hospital, West Heath Hospital and West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre, but you may be asked to cover other Trust sites. This offers the chance to work flexibly as required within Trust Facilities.

The Housekeeper will work as part of a team providing high quality facilities service to patients, staff and visitors.

This will include working closely with the Housekeeping and Catering Supervisors.

Main duties of the job

Recruitment DBS Update

With effect from 6 January 2026, all new employees who require a DBS as part of their role and current employees who require a new DBS or different level of DBS, will be recharged for the cost. Costs will only be recovered where individuals are not already paying this directly through the annual DBS Update Service.

For substantive employees, the Trust will continue to pay for the DBS as part of pre-employment checks where necessary and these costs will be recovered in three equal monthly instalments from the monthly salary.

Deductions for bank workers will be made weekly upon completion of mandatory training when payment is made and before any shifts can be worked.

The Housekeeping and Cleaning Service will enhance the patient's experience by ensuring that the clinical environment is presented and maintained in a way which maximises the patient's sense of comfort, safety and wellbeing

Catering Services assist in the preparation and service of meals and beverages to patients, staff and visitors throughout Trust owned properties
