Clacton Leisure Centre are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Football Coaches to join our Sports Coaching team.

We have opportunities available for coaches looking to work on a regular basis throughout the year, as well as coaches who are interested in delivering sessions during school holiday and half-term programmes only.

The successful candidates will be responsible for planning and delivering fun, engaging, and inclusive football sessions for children and young people of varying ages and abilities, helping participants to develop their skills, confidence, and enjoyment of the game.

Hours Available

We are currently recruiting for:

  • 2 Casual Football Coaches to deliver regular coaching sessions throughout the year, including term-time programmes.
  • 2 Casual Football Coaches to deliver sessions during each school half-term programme throughout the year.

Hours will vary depending on programme demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality football coaching sessions in a safe and enjoyable environment.
  • Plan and prepare coaching activities suitable for a range of ages and abilities.
  • Encourage participation, skill development, and enjoyment of sport.
  • Promote positive behaviour and teamwork amongst participants.
  • Ensure all equipment is set up safely and used appropriately.
  • Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, parents/guardians, and colleagues.

Essential Requirements

  • FA Level 2 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering football coaching sessions to children and young people.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for sport and developing young people through physical activity.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
