B1 Ward is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Deputy Ward Manager with strong leadership skills and a clear passion for quality and patient safety. Main duties of the job

B1 Ward provides high-quality medical care for complex patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. We are looking to recruit a motivated, hardworking Deputy Ward Manager with strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a genuine passion for complex care and patient safety.

Applicants should have a sound knowledge of general medicine, experience in caring for patients with complex and multi-morbid needs, and be able to demonstrate excellent discharge planning skills to support safe and effective transitions of care.

When working clinically, you will be expected to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based care, while providing support and reassurance to patients, relatives, and members of the multidisciplinary team.

  • Support the Ward Manager in maintaining high standards of care, quality, and safety
  • Act as a role model for professional practice and leadership
  • Encourage staff development and foster a positive learning culture

The candidate must be willing to work 4 days a week to cover the service.

  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Rostering and workforce management
  • Budget setting
  • Human Resources management

You will also be expected to deputise for the Ward Manager in their absence, ensuring the continued delivery of high standards across the ward.

The candidate must be willing to work 4 days a week to cover the service.
