Job summary
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary radiology team providing high quality patient care and supporting the delivery of safe and efficient diagnostic services
This role is suitable for Healthcare Assistants with relevant NHS or healthcare experience who are looking for flexible clinical opportunities
The successful candidate will support patients before during and after radiology procedures and will work closely with radiographers nurses clinicians and other members of the clinical team
18 Week Support will provide support throughout the registration compliance and onboarding process
Main duties of the job
Provide appropriate care and support to patients attending the radiology department
Prepare patients for radiology examinations and procedures
Assist with patient movement positioning and transfers where required
Support radiographers nurses and other clinical staff during patient examinations
Monitor patients and report any concerns to the appropriate clinical professional
Assist with maintaining patient dignity privacy and comfort throughout their care
Complete appropriate patient observations within the scope of the role
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Follow infection prevention and control procedures
Ensure clinical areas are clean safe and appropriately prepared
Assist with the safe movement and handling of patients and equipment
Communicate effectively with patients relatives and members of the multidisciplinary team
Follow NHS Trust policies procedures and relevant clinical guidelines
