Main duties of the job
The obstetrics and gynaecology medical workforce is currentlycomprised of 11 consultants and 1 associate specialists who provideessential patient led services.
Airedale General Hospital work jointly with other local NHS providersin the region, including Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS FoundationTrust and Bradford District Care Trust, to help ensure we can delivera patient led collaborative service and thereby promoting a culture ofsafety and improvement

CONSULTANTS JOB PLAN
Job Planning will be based on a partnership approach. Consultantsare asked to prepare a draft job plan which is then discussed andagreed with the Clinical Director and then presented to the MedicalScrutiny Committee for approval.
Job plans will list all the NHS andany private duties of the consultant, the number of ProgrammedActivities for which the Consultant is contracted and paid, theconsultants objectives and agreed supporting resources.The duties and responsibilities set out in a Job Plan will include, asappropriate:
Direct Clinical Care duties including on-call work Supporting Professional Activities Additional NHS responsibilities determined against the agreedTrust tariff allocation External duties
The Trusts strategy is to increase the use of its capital resourcese.g. Theatre, Endoscopy and OPC to facilitate increased productivityand efficiencies which supports the growth of market share andbusiness development.
