Are you an experienced housing leader ready to make a visible, lasting impact? Bassetlaw District Council is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Housing Services Manager – Repairs & Empty Homes to lead our Repairs and Empty Homes service at a pivotal time of transformation.

Your leadership will help keep homes safe, compliant and well maintained, while bringing empty properties back into use quickly and effectively.

What you'll lead
  • Lead the Repairs and Empty Homes service, setting clear priorities and maintaining a strong focus on resident outcomes.
  • Drive performance across housing repairs, empty homes and compliance, using insight and accountability to improve delivery.
  • Oversee significant investment programmes, budgets, contracts and external providers.
  • Ensure homes are safe, compliant and well maintained, and that void properties are returned to use efficiently.
  • Champion service improvement, innovation and digital solutions that make services more responsive and effective.
  • Contribute as a key member of the Housing Leadership Team and help shape the wider Housing transformation programme.
What you'll bring

You will be an experienced housing professional who can combine strategic thinking with confident operational leadership. You will bring:

  • A strong track record of leading operational housing services and delivering measurable improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of housing repairs, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience of managing budgets, contracts, investment programmes and external providers.
  • The ability to lead teams, build accountability, improve performance and deliver results.
  • A collaborative, customer-focused leadership style with the confidence to work across services and with partners.
  • A forward-thinking approach and a genuine interest in innovation and digital solutions.
