Job summary
We are seeking a friendly enthusiastic salaried GP to join our friendly practice. This position is available due to the reduction in sessions of our long standing senior partner in July 2027 and we wish to give ourselves plenty of time to find the right candidate.
We have a patient list size of 8100 in rural Oxfordshire, Main site at Bloxham with branch surgery at Hook Norton.
We have a full compliment of clinical staff who work closely together to support the practice needs.
Main duties of the job
We do not operate total triage at the practice. Our focus is to accommodate our patients on a daily basis with the options of either a face to face appointment or a telephone consultation depending on which option a patient has chosen.
We have open sessions in the morning with pre-booked appointments in the afternoon.
We have 15 slots in the morning and 12 slots in the afternoon.
You will be supported by a full compliment of nursing to support GP's over both sites. The team consists of 3 nurses, 2 health care assistants and 1 phlebotomist who is trained to do paediatric bloods.
You will be required to work at our branch surgery which is approximately 5 miles away from our main surgery site.
We have 1 private nursing home situated at the end of our driveway for which we cover 1 clinic session per week for their registered clients.
Your contract will be based on the BMA standard contract.

Emis Web clinical system, Docman 10, Accurx, Abtrace & Lexacom
Full complement of secretaries who oversee all dictation, insurance reports, solicitors reports
Face to face and telephone triage systems available to patients
Enhanced hours as part of our NORA network of practices
1 private care home located at the end of our driveway for which we provide a weekly on-site clinic with limited number of patients
Nurse led chronic disease clinics
Continued personal development support
Position available from July 2027, but we are willing to wait for the right candidate.
