Main duties of the job

Your focus as a Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care and ensure continuity of services. Responsibilities include assisting residents with personal hygiene while maintaining independence, dignity, and respect. Awareness and timely escalation of clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, and infections are crucial. Interaction with residents should be courteous, respecting their dignity and individuality. Safe working practices across various tasks are expected. The role demands the ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate initiative, and carry out reasonable instructions efficiently. Adaptability and flexibility to cover short-notice responsibilities are essential. Experience is not required, as a thorough induction and training program is provided.

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
