Job summary

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a 10 session Consultant Obstetrics and Gynaecologist with ATSM/SITM Urogynaecology, subspecialising in urogynaecology for a period of 12 months.

This post is joining a team of 21 Consultants responsible for the provision of O&G services at Singleton Hospital within Swansea Bay University Health Board.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work with consultant colleagues to provide a high-quality Obstetrics and Gynaecology service across designated Health Board sites, with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness and the promotion of health.

Working collaboratively with consultant colleagues and the multi-professional team, the post holder will have continuing responsibility for patients under their care, ensuring appropriate delegation, supervision and training of staff. The post holder will contribute to the safe, efficient and effective delivery of services in line with Health Board values, operational policies and the Annual Plan, and will support service improvement through quality improvement methodology and timely reporting of safety concerns.
