Main duties of the job

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Audiologist to join our team on a sessional basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on patient care and support the growth of our community audiology services.

Job description

The successful candidate will: Undertake hearing assessment of adults of all ages, including history taking and discussion with patients and/or carers. Perform routine audiometric testing, including air and bone conduction audiometry, tympanometry, and acoustic reflex testing. Conduct hearing aid assessment, fitting, validation, and ongoing support for adults and families, using both analogue and DSP instruments. Take aural impressions according to British Society of Audiology recommended procedures. Validate hearing aids using Real Ear Measurement (REM), RECD, and free field testing, acting appropriately on results. Liaise with external agencies, including cochlear implant teams, as required. Modify NHS hearing aids and ear moulds as needed. Maintain patient records, equipment, and stock levels. Participate in training and update meetings. Promote a patient-focused approach in all aspects of care.
