Main duties of the job

This role involves supporting dining services and assisting residents with their meals at Winchester Heights Care Home. Responsibilities include helping residents choose their meal options, setting dining tables, maintaining a clean dining environment, providing access to homemade cakes, biscuits, and finger foods, and being aware of residents' dietary requirements. The role requires high standards of personal hygiene and ideally, experience in similar settings such as restaurants or hotels. A basic Food Hygiene Certificate is advantageous. ABOUT THE ROLEYour focus as a Food and Beverage Team Member is to support the dining service and assist residents with their meals.Other responsibilities will include: Supporting the residents with choosing their meal options when dining. Ensuring that the standard operating procedures set dining tables. Keeping the front of the house clean, tidy, and well-presented and ensuring dirty crockery is removed and replenished throughout the day. Ensure fresh homemade cakes/biscuits are accessible in the bistro areas and replenished throughout the day, as well as finger food and fresh fruit options. Being aware of residents dietary requirements.ABOUT YOUTo succeed in your application, you will live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable in all you do.Our ideal candidate must have: Demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene Having experience working in a similar setting, restaurant, or hotel would be desirable A basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be beneficial.
