Job summary

The Urology team at St George's Hospital wishes to appoint an F2/3 level trust doctor to join the urology team. The post would provide an ideal professional development platform from which the appointee may develop a portfolio of experience, although the post is not part of a formal training programme.

Starting 7th October 2026 to 29th January 2027

Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities of the post are to care for the patients admitted to the wards for elective or emergency urological surgery and support the individual subspecialty firms (Andrology, Stones, Functional and Robotic) in clinic and theatre during allocated elective activity. The post holder will form part of the general surgical on-call rota.

Job description

The appointee will have a continuing responsibility for the care of patients under the care of the Urology team, including all administrative duties associated with patient care. The appointee will be expected to be competent at the senior house officer level in all aspects of urological and general surgical emergency care.
