Job summary

We are looking to appoint a Part Time / 8PA's Consultant with a specialist interest in both Haemostasis and Thrombosis and Haemaglobinopathy within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

Should a further vacancy arise shortlisted candidates may be considered.

Main duties of the job

The appointees will, together with consultant colleagues, contribute to the provision of a comprehensive Haemostasis and Thrombosis Service and the Haemoglobinopathy service. It is expected that the successful candidate works flexibly and co-operatively with other members of the team in order to provide a high quality, comprehensive service within this teaching hospital environment.

The successful candidate must be registered with the GMC with a valid licence to practice, name on the specialist register for Haematology or eligible within 6 months of the date of the interview.If an applicant is UK trained, they must also be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.For further information please visit the GMC website and click on the Registration and Licensing link.
