As part of this exciting development, we are recruiting a Multiagency Child Protection Team (MACPT) Health Lead to join our newly designed Multi-Agency Child Protection Teams.

This is a key leadership role for an experienced safeguarding professional who can bring a strong health perspective to complex child protection work. Working within a dynamic multi-agency environment, the post holder will provide expert health leadership, safeguarding advice and professional oversight to ensure that health information, clinical insight and the voice of health partners are fully integrated into child protection decision-making and safeguarding practice.

Main duties of the job

The MACPT Health Lead will provide expert clinical leadership and specialist safeguarding advice within a multi-agency child protection team. The post holder will ensure that health information, clinical insight and wider health intelligence are effectively used to inform risk assessment, decision-making and planning for vulnerable children and families.

Working alongside colleagues from health, children's social care, police and education, the role will provide consultation, constructive challenge and professional oversight to support high-quality safeguarding practice and improved outcomes for children and young people.
