Come and be a part of our exciting journey at Chichester District Council. In response to the national cost of living increase we have created a new team to provide holistic support and advice to customers identified and presenting with financial vulnerability.

We are seeking a new Supporting You Officer to deliver this support. This will include income maximisation, debt signposting, employment advice, budgeting support & advice and supported referrals into a range of internal and external support services. The aim is to help improve the overall financial wellbeing of customers who are financially vulnerable. This support will be delivered in a variety of ways, including over the phone, by email, via Teams and face-to-face. You will be required to attend and travel to community events in Chichester as well as rural areas of the district.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to help empower people and help make a difference to their lives. Whilst some experience of working with individuals in this setting is beneficial, what really matters to us is that you share our goals and aspirations for Chichester and you will play a key role in delivering these for our community. If you are passionate about making a difference, an excellent communicator and have a solution focused approach then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
