Job summary

We are looking for someone to provide a welcoming, professional and courteous service, based predominately Patient Services.

Post holders will be required to support in various administrative areas including Health Records, Ward Clerks, Subject Access Request and other key administrative areas throughout Patient Services.

The post holder will be required to liaise effectively with colleagues and other departments within the hospital in a professional and pleasant manner and to ensure the confidentiality of information and patient details is adhered to at all times, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, Caldicott guidelines and other Trust Policies and Procedures.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be responsible for supporting in the delivery of the day to day management and operations of several neighbouring Patient Services Departmental areas, including Health Records, Ward Clerks and Subject Access Request.

Working with the relevant Service Managers the postholder will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local/national policies and procedures and relevant legislation, providing assurance that compliance and standards are maintained, and service is delivered effectively within specified/agreed timescales.

The post holder will be responsible for a variety of administration and manual tasks, requiring good and positive communication skills, ability to adapt to change, and capability to confidently support and lead both a large team and work independently.
