Job summary

Can you provide Charity-wide leadership, expertise and oversight within Patient Safety and Safeguarding?

Location: Flexible

There will be a requirement to visit our site in Northampton, our inpatient hospitals in Birmingham and Essex, and to support our Outpatient and Adult Care Services in various sites across England.

Main duties of the job

This is a senior leadership role which will provide strategic leadership, professional expertise and operational oversight across the Charity's patient safety, safeguarding and public protection agenda.

Job description

You will ensure robust governance, systems and processes are in place to support the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality care, and ensure the Charity meets its statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations in relation to patient safety, safeguarding adults and children, and public protection.

Working closely with the Chief Nurse and other senior leaders, you will lead the development and implementation of patient safety and safeguarding strategies, promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement, and ensure effective systems are in place to identify, respond to and learn from incidents, safeguarding concerns and quality issues.

You will act as the organisation's lead expert for patient safety and safeguarding, providing specialist advice, assurance and leadership across all services and representing the Charity with regulators, commissioners, local authorities and wider system partners.
