Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust has ambitious plans to transform healthcare in North Manchester through the North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH) Redevelopment Programme that will deliver a new hospital and health campus at the existing North Manchester General Hospital site. This major investment will support the transformation of how we deliver our services and create modern facilities that support world-class clinical care for our communities.

This role provides a unique opportunity to be part of one of the largest public sector health transformation programmes being delivered across Manchester with the NMGH New Hospital Equipment Senior Project Manager being responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the planning, co-ordination and scoping of the procurement, installation and/or transfer of medical and non-medical equipment.

Main duties of the job

The NMGH New Hospital Equipment Senior Project Manager will provide strategic and delivery leadership assuming responsibility for the planning, co-ordination and scoping of the procurement, installation and/or transfer of medical and non-medical equipment (capital and revenue) for the Trust's New Hospital Project. The role will lead the preparation, implementation and management of equipment planning, costing and procurement strategies to support the delivery and operationalisation of the new hospital facilities. The role will also be expected to work closely with the Project Finance & Business Case Lead to develop alternative financing solutions for the procurement and maintenance of equipment.
