This is a pivotal role in supporting operational managers and the Senior Finance Manager with timely, accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and effective budget management.

Main duties of the job

The Management Accountant plays a critical role in achieving financial excellence within HPL. Key responsibilities include, BUT not limited:

o To assist the Finance Manager / Head of Finance in the provision of a complete professional financial service to the service area.o Delivering high-quality management accounting and business partnering services to HPL & the clients.o Providing timely, accurate financial information to clinical and non-clinical colleagues.o Provide monthly budget statements and financial reports analysing variances and trends in accordance with the reporting timetables.o Assisting budget managers with financial information and recommendations for action.

Job description

The Management Accountant's core responsibilities include:

Business Planning & Forecasting: Assisting in the production of integrated financial and business plans. Contributing to annual budget setting and financial planning. Identifying cost pressures, service developments, and cost improvements. Maintaining financial ledger and budget system reconciliations.

Accounting and Financial Reporting: Producing monthly budget statements and reports. Providing information for internal and external purposes. Ensuring financial documentation is accurate and updated. Managing accruals, pre-payments & adjustments
